Description

The Auxiliary Facility Operations (AFO) Department of Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for the Part-Time Shipping & Receiving Assistant. The Part-Time Shipping & Receiving Assistant will a ssists the S&R manager in their daily duties. Receives, processes, inventories, and delivers packages and bulk shipments throughout the main campus. Operates material handling equipment and a variety of different vehicle platforms. Interacts with vendors, staff, and faculty members and is customer service orientated.

Primary Responsibilities:- Receive, process, track, and account for all incoming/outgoing mail, boxes, and items through S&R. Delivers or redirects mentioned items throughout the main campus and other campuses as required - Maintain S&R database for tracking all incoming/outgoing items, and inventory control database - Assists in the inventory management process by identifying items requiring to be added to the inventory control database - Operate various vehicles, carts, material handling equipment -Assist in other areas as required.

Qualifications

Education:Required: GED/High School Diploma & Valid GA driver's licensePreferred: 2 years of college

Experience:Required: 2 years+ driving with no major traffic violationsPreferred: 6+ months of warehouse or stocking experience & a clean MVR

Skills: Required: Basic level computer skills to include MS Office (Excel) and use of databases. Able to work with basic hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs. Customer service orientatedPreferred: Experience with inventory tracking software. Type 40 WPM. Forklift certification
